The NANOPSIS M is the world's first super-resolution wide-field optical microscope that can resolve objects down to 70nm.[1]Powered by SMAL (Super Resolution Microsphere Amplifying Lens) The microscope is the first commercial system to use microspheres with no need for direct contact with the sample[2]. The NANOPSIS M was launched on 29th of June 2017 in Manchester, United Kingdom at Citylabs 1.0.[3]The concept was discovered by Prof Lin Li and Dr Wei Guo at The University of Manchester, and published for the first time in Nature Science & Applications in 2013.[4][5] and developed by a team of researchers lead by Dr. Sorin Laurentiu Stanescu at LIG Nanowise in Manchester[6][7].
