Islamic Finance Country Index (IFCI) is based on a proprietary methodology developed by Edbiz Consulting - a London-based financial advisory firm specialising in Islamic banking, finance and education. IFCI's rankings are released in the annual editions of Global Islamic Finance Report and are further disseminated through a number of conferences and seminars throughout the world.

Launched in 2011, IFCI has emerged as a reliable indicator of developments in the global Islamic financial services industry [1]. According to the IFCI rankings, Islamic Republic of Iran has consistently been number one in the last three rankings. IFCI 2014 is going to be launched with the publication of GIFR 2014, which will be released at Global Donors Forum 2014, to be held at Washington DC on April 13–16, 2014.
