Deprecated - this template has been deprecated. The websites - Lexico and Oxford Dictionaries - are no longer in service. The only available pages are web archives. The ideal solution is to replace the template with {{Cite dictionary}} or {{Cite web}} as it allows for better long-term maintenance by standardized tools such as IABot, WaybackMedic, Citation bot, etc.. which otherwise do not support this template. Old documentation
This template is used for creating a citation of Lexico (lexico.com; formerly Oxford Dictionaries Online, OxfordDictionaries.com) for the specified search term. The access date can be specified, if desired, with the parameter access-date. The publication date can be specified with the |date= parameter, otherwise it defaults to "n.d." (As of November 2021) the publication year is 2021.
