Nathaniel Chisholm, Ph.D. (born July 22, 1963, Tuskegee, Alabama)

His ground breaking research work includes the development of SiC nanophased carbon epoxy composite materials, intended for use in space vehicles and structural grade components for advanced aircraft. He is the author of the Synthesis, Manufacturing, and Characterization of Nano-Phased Carbon/Epoxy Composites,[1] Dr. Chisholm work in the field of Material Science and Engineering has received over 400 citations in journal and technical publications. He is a Google and Microsoft Academic Scholar and serves as mentor for young engineers and scientist interested in discovering the field of engineering.

He currently serves as the Deputy Director of Engineering and Production for DeKalb County Government Public Works in DeKalb County, Ga..[citation needed]

Awards and recognition

Nathaniel Chisholm is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and serves as the Vice President of Metro Atlanta American Public Works Association (APWA). In 1999-2005, he was awarded a fellowship from the National Science Foundation, and in 2004 received an award from the Sigma Xi for achievements in material science and engineering.
