Tyreese "TyTy" Meas (born August 2, 2001, in Johannesburg) is a South African footballer who plays as a centre forward. Born in Johannesburg, he started his career with Wits Juniors before moving to Canada in 2015. With Fusion FC, he won a league title and represented Team BC. Known for his technical skills and game intelligence, Meas is a rising talent in football. He currently resides in Richmond, Vancouver, continuing his career.[1]
Early Life
Tyreese Meas, commonly known as TyTy, was born on August 2, 2001, in Johannesburg, South Africa. He is the youngest of three siblings. From a young age, TyTy exhibited a passion for football, often playing street football with older players in his neighborhood. These early experiences played a significant role in developing his technical abilities and game intelligence.
He went to Hugh Boyd Secondary School in Richmond, Vancouver.[2]
Career
At the age of six and a half, TyTy joined Wits Juniors, where he quickly became a key player. During his time with Wits Juniors, he helped the team secure four league titles over six years. In the 2013/2014 season, he was named League MVP and top goal scorer, and in the 2014/2015 season, he served as team vice-captain.[3]
Move to Canada and Fusion FC
In 2015, shortly after his 14th birthday, TyTy and his family immigrated to Canada, settling in Vancouver. TyTy joined Fusion FC, where he continued his football development. In 2017, he contributed to a league title victory and was selected to represent Team BC (British Columbia) in both 2016 and 2017. His outstanding performance led to his inclusion in the Whitecaps residency program.[4]

TyTy Meas is known for his multifaceted playing style as a centre forward. He combines remarkable goal-scoring prowess with an advanced understanding of spatial dynamics, allowing him to navigate through tight defenses and create opportunities for himself and his teammates.
