'Candy Stripe' is a hybrid cultivar of the genus Aechmea in the Bromeliad family. In late autumn or early winter a flower spike in candy pink and blue tops the white variegated plants. Good ground cover, or epiphyte or indoor pot plant. Full shade, or some morning sun. Can take light frosts if planted under trees. It is a garden hybrid the origin of which is not known.
