The Dermacoccaceae is a family of bacteria placed within the order of Actinomycetales.[3][4][5] Bacteria af this familia are Gram-positive, non-spore-forming and non-motile.[6][7] Dermacoccaceae bacteria occur on the skin.[8]
Phylogeny
The currently accepted taxonomy is based on the List of Prokaryotic names with Standing in Nomenclature[2] and the phylogeny is based on whole-genome sequences.[9][lower-alpha 1]
