Hovea montana, commonly known as alpine hovea, mountain hovea or alpine rusty-pods, is shrub species in the family Fabaceae, native to Australia .[2][3] The species occurs in New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania.[2] The Latin specific epithet montana refers to mountains or coming from mountains.[4]
