Biology:Microenvironment
From HandWiki
Microenvironment in biology is defined as the normal cells, molecules, and blood vessels that surround and feed a particular cellular area. The microenvironment in a tumor is different from that of a healthy organ; the microenvironment can affect how the tumor grows and spreads.[1] The term originated in the oncology literature in 1975[2] and has been used with increasing frequency in the biomedical literature since the 2000´s.[3]
