The north-eastern state Meghalaya is well-known for its natural beauty & architecture and Living root bridges are one of such beauties. In the Cherrapunji region, Rangthylliang 1 root bridge is considered to be the longest living root bridge which ranges over 50 m in length.[1][2] The Bridge is situated 30 m above the ground. The Bridge was named after the village Rangthylliang, where most of the living root bridges are present[1] and its trek is also endorsed.[3] The rangthylliang one root bridge is quite popular and has also appeared in "The Atlantic" magazine.[1] The trek for visiting the living root bridges starts in the Rangthylliang village and ends in the Mawkyrnot village.[4]
