The Trinity Alps giant salamander is an alleged species of giant salamander that is reported to live in the Trinity Alps of northern California . Said to be from 5 to 9 metres (16 to 30 feet) long,[1] it was first reported in the 1920s.[2] No conclusive proof of this salamander's existence has ever been produced, even though reputable scientists have tried to locate it. The species features in cryptozoology sites.[3]
