Assumption in the sense of logic. This category is for the kinds of things assumed to be true in a domain of reasoning. Initial assumptions allow an argument to get off the ground, concluding assumptions can define a line of research, and many other assumptions influence day-to-day decision making. This category does not suggest that any assumption is false, only that at times, not questioning or uncovering these assumptions and their domains can lead to falsehood and ignorance, and of course, needless disagreement.
Note that entries in this category are intended to be less technical. Each is a possible source of conflict.
