Genrobotic Innovations is an Indian robotics company that was founded in 2017. The company is headquartered in Trivandrum, Kerala, India. Genrobotics has various wings namely Robotics and AI, Medical and Mobility as a Service Mobility & Genrobotics Oil & Gas, and Genrobotics Foundation. Genrobotics has won multiple national startup awards and its founders have been featured in Forbes 30 under 30 Asia.[1] The flagship product Bandicoot is serving in 19 states and 3 union territories of India.

History

Genrobotic Innovations was founded by four engineers [2] with support from Kerala Startup Mission and Kerala Water Authority. The stated aim is to provide better and safer methods to people working in extreme and unsafe environments using Robotics & AI.

Their first product, Bandicoot was developed with the aim of preventing human entry into manholes it was launched on 2 October 2018[3] by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the presence of UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in Delhi. The Medical and Mobility wing of Genrobotic Innovations launched G-Gaiter[4] on 17 October 2022 by Sridhar Vembu, CEO of Zoho Corp in the presence of Kerala’s health minister Veena George, it was developed with the aim of aiding the rehabilitation of patients suffering from paraplegia.

Investors

Currently, Genrobotics has 7 institutional investors including Unicorn India Ventures, Zoho Corporation[5], and Seafund with Ranjan Anandan[6], Anand Mahindra[7], and Sridhar Vembu[8] being Individual investors.[9]
