Impartner is a private company headquartered in Silicon Slopes, UT. It is the largest "pure-play" partner relationship management software business.[3] Impartner was founded in 1997 by Craig Flynn.[1][3] The business started in California[4] under the name "Treehouse Interactive".[4][5] It was originally named after the nickname for an apartment the founder used to live in.[6]
Impartner was profitable but small until a period of rapid expansion starting in 2015.[4] Former WatchGuard CEO Joe Wang and venture capitalist firm Kennet Partners acquired a controlling interest in Impartner for $17 million.[7] Wang becoming the new CEO.[4][5]
"Treehouse Interactive" was renamed to "Impartner," simpler versions of its software were developed, and new executives were recruited.[4] Impartner made a series of acquisitions, including Tremolo, Amplifinity, and the marketing automation software of TIE Kinetix.[8][9]
Impartner develops partner relationship management software,[2] which is used to manage relationships with resellers or other partners.[4][10] For example, the software is used to develop onboarding portals for new partners, manage incentive programs, automate partner marketing, and perform analytics on partner programs.[8][9] It is made up of a core set of software, as well as add-ons sold by Impartner and widgets developed by users.[10]
