Lucid Software Inc. is an American software company that develops web-based visual productivity applications for businesses, educational institutions, and individual users. Established in 2010[1] and headquartered in South Jordan, Utah[2], the company's primary products include Lucidchart, Lucidspark, and Lucidscale, which are used for diagramming, virtual whiteboarding, and visualizing cloud architecture, respectively.

History

Lucid Software Inc. was founded in 2010 by Karl Sun and Ben Dilts.[1] The company's initial focus was on developing Lucidchart, a web-based diagramming and visualization tool. In 2013, they introduced Lucidpress[3], a web-based design and layout application, which was later acquired by Charles Thayne Capital ("CTC")[4] and rebranded to Marq in 2022[5]. In October 2020[6], Lucid launched Lucidspark, a virtual whiteboarding product. Lucidscale, a product for visualizing cloud architecture, was introduced in October 2021[7].

Lucidspark

Lucidscale

Lucidscale is a tool for generating and customizing dynamic diagrams of cloud architecture hosted with Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
