Nur Energie is a multitechnology solar power plant developer. It is headquartered in London, United Kingdom, and operates from local subsidiaries in Greece, Italy and France. The company has a number of photovoltaics, concentrated photovoltaics and concentrated solar power projects under development across Southern Europe and North Africa.
Nur Energie is also developing a North Africa–to–Europe solar export project which combines a 2000 MW CSP tower plant with a submarine cable from North Africa to mainland Europe. This, when completed, will make it the first major solar export project. It is an associated member of the Dii (Desertec Industrial Initiative), an initiative founded by multinational institutions such as Deutsche Bank, RWE and Munich Re among others.
