QCY (Chinese: 意象[2]) is a Chinese[3] earphone manufacturer[4] that was established in 2009. Affiliated to Hele Electronics, it specializes in Bluetooth headphones, especially TWS headphones.[5] Powered by Realtek chipsets,[6] its earbuds are suitable for running and sports[7] and support Android and Apple devices,[8] providing up to 15 hours of battery life per charge.[9] Being a part of the Xiaomi's ecosystem,[10] it mainly offers rechargeable devices and affordable earphones.[11]

Headquartered in Dongguan, it has made inroads into Brazil ,[12] Indonesia[13] and other countries. According to Counterpoint Research, QCY ranked fifth globally in terms of market share of TWS headset shipments in Q3 2020,[14] behind Apple, Xiaomi, Samsung and JBL.[15]

History

In 2014, QCY launched its sport music Bluetooth earphones.[16] In 2016, it introduced a product aimed at AirPods.[17]

In January 2017, the brand entered Malaysia.[18] In 2019, it released a headset for mobile gaming.[19] In Q4 2019 and Q1 2020, QCY's TWS shipments respectively surpassed those of JLab[20] and Huawei.[21]

QCY participated in the event of Black Friday in November 2020.[22] In February 2021, it rolled out a wireless audio device in Indonesia.[23]
