The Shaheen Business & Investment Group S.A. (SBIG) is the holding company for a number of well-established businesses in the Middle East, as well as the Persian Gulf, South Asia, Europe, North Africa and North America. The holding company is registered in Luxembourg, with principal operating offices in London, Washington DC, Cairo and Amman.
The company operates through several subsidiaries in five main sectors, namely: infrastructure development, real estate development, logistics and life support services, automotive and investment banking advisory services. In addition, the Group has interests in trading, food processing and packaging, IT & telecommunications and agriculture.
SBIG is active in Jordan, Iraq, Egypt, Algeria, Libya, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, the United States of America , the United Kingdom , Luxembourg, Pakistan and Albania with over 1,000 employees.
Business Interests
The Group now has interests in a wide range of activities. From its roots in agriculture it has developed into real estate development, financial services, automotive, logistics and life support, telecommunications & IT, food manufacturing and large infrastructure projects in power and water. Currently, the group has put forward a number of bids for oil & gas and petrochemicals projects in Libya, Algeria and Pakistan. The Group is expanding rapidly and is continuing its successful growth into a large, focused international conglomerate.[citation needed]
The business is structured around local and international operations consisting of companies, which are organized and operated under the umbrella of the Shaheen Business & Investment Group S.A., a Luxembourg company which acts as the Group holding company.

The Shaheen Group Foundation for Science and Culture
Shaheen Group Foundation for Science and Culture was originally established to offer financially disadvantaged Jordanian students the opportunity to study and reach academic excellence, concentrating on qualitative education while retaining focus on Jordan's rich heritage. The foundation sponsors a minimum of 75 students annually providing them with local and international higher educational opportunities. Additionally, the foundation supports scientific research through fully or partially financing research projects and through a number of researcher scholarships.
