Tring is an Albanian satellite and terrestrial digital platform. The company operates in the domain of media, TV broadcasting, telecommunication, while offering internet, telephone and TV services, terrestrial and satellite and also My Tring IPTV in Albania and throughout the world.
History
Tring started out in 2006 with the establishment of Albanian Satellite Communications, a Tirana based private company. Tring TV was established in 2008 and its shares were entirely owned by Albanian investors. Tring offers a unique TV experience thanks to its variety of channels for the whole family and its productions, which are one hundred percent Albanian. Tring is part of Concord Investment Group, one of the largest groups in the country.
Timeline
2006
- Tring is established as part of Albanian Satellite Communications (ASC).
2008
- Tring TV is established and it launches its brand, Tring Communications.
2009
- Tring reaches a deal to broadcast TRING TV in Kosovo’s TV cable network “Kujtesa”.
2010
- Tring TV started to air its programs for the first time in the cable network, Blizoo, part of Austria Telecom.
- TRING TV reaches a deal to air its programs in the PTK Kosova IPTV network.
- In collaboration with Vizion Plus, Tring brought two shows to the Albanian screen: “Dancing with the Stars”, a dancing contested licensed by BBC and Apartment 2XL, an improvised comedy show where actors act without a script. The only thing they know is the starting point of the plot and everything else is improvised by them.
- In August of the same year, Tring obtains exclusive rights to broadcast the English Premier League until 2013 and starts to air football matches in its sports channels.
- Tring starts for the first time to broadcast the Uefa Champions League exclusively.
2011
- Tring TV started to broadcast its programs for the first time in Macedonia IPTV network, T-, part of Deutsche Telecom.
- In 2011, it started to broadcast the children’s program entitled Tak Fak, where children learn not only how to paint, but also make an art of simple daily objects. This program continues to be aired in 2020 and has entered its fifth season.
- On the same year, Tring TV started to air the children’s program “Here come the letters”, which has an educational nature. This TV program teaches children how to read and write.
2012
- TRING TV and Tring Communications changed their brands and logos and were united under the same brand, TRING.
- In August 2021, Tring launched Living channel, Living magazine and Living portal, all dedicated to lifestyle.
1. Living channel
It’s a TV channel part of Tring platform. Living mainly targets female viewers, broadcasting everything which has to do with lifestyle. With its TV channel, magazine and internet page, Living is a brand of its own. Living launched its website in 2012. This page is also present in social media such as Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
2. Living Magazine
Living Magazine came out at the same time as Living channel started to broadcast. It’s a seasonal magazine targeting mainly women. In this magazine, readers will find information on how to improve their lifestyle and advice on interior and exterior home designs, cooking and beauty tips. This magazine is published four times a year.
3. Living Portal
Living.al portal is the most diverse and complete online page in the Albanian language. At Living, readers will be able to find lots of interesting information for all age groups.
- “Fresk Fare” comes as a Musical & Comedy with 12 episodes for viewers over the age of 10.
- Children shows aired in 2012 by Tring were “Plastelina Magjike”, “Hip-Hop Show”, “Tring Art Club” and “Te mesojme se bashku”.
- Tring TV obtains exclusive rights for the Uefa Europa League until 2015.
2013
- Tring’s terrestrial platform moved to MPEG4 format.
2014
- Tring’s satellite platform moved to MPEG 4.
- April: Tring introduces My Tring IPTV as part of Albtelecom network.
- In 2014, Tring launched two new shows, “Miremengjes” and “Na ishte nje here”. “Na ishte nje here” is a children’s show where famous people from different fields tell some of the best stories of Albanian and foreign folklore.
- In 2014, Tring came out with the comedy format “Sketch (Jo) Show”.
- For the first time in 2014, Tring started to air Turkish TV shows, which turned out to be a novelty and a success for Tring.
- Tring started to air Turkish and Latino TV shows such as Love and Punishment (Ask ve Ceza), Destiny’s Power.
2015
- Tring presents the IPTV brand. My Tring IPTV, My Tring IPTV Mobile and OTT in every corner of the world including the USA.
- In 2015, Tring airs “Cherry Season” premiere.
- Tring starts to air one of its own productions for children titled Art&Fun.
- Tring once again obtains broadcasting rights for Uefa Champions League for the period 2015-2018.
2016
- Tring brings to Albania some of the most famous Turkish TV shows such as “The Promise”, “Rented Love” and “Queen of the Night”.
- Latino TV shows aired in 2016: Wild Heart (Corazon Salvaje), Valeria (Tierra de pasiones), Triumph of love, Gabriel, Teresa, Unlucky Beauty.
2017
- In 2017, Tring started to air Turkish TV shows such as: Bride from Istanbul (Istanbullu Gelin), Mrs. Fazilet and her daughters (Fazilet Hanim ve Kizlari), Strawberry Dreams (Cilek kokusi), Don’t give up (Asla Vazgecmem) and also Latino TV shows such as: Always Yours, Lots of Love.
2018
- In 2018, Tring started to air a number of Turkish, Latino and Spanish TV shows such as: A full-time dad, The Truth (La Verdad), The White Pearl (Siyah Inci), Full Moon (Dolunay), A story from Bodrum (Bodrum Masali), Ambitions at crossroads, Ladies of the Bravo Family, Three Annes, A love from the past, Five Stars.
- For small children, Tring produced shows such as “Ana dhe Ariu”. In each episode of this show, children learn information from different areas through adventures.
- Tring obtains for the third time exclusive broadcasting rights of the Uefa Champions League for the period 2018-2021.
2019
- In 2019, Tring brought some of the most newest Turkish, Latino and Spanish TV shows such as: Don’t let go of my hand (Elimi Birakma), Sweet Revenge (Tatli Intikam), A kiss in the darkness (Erkenci Kus), Call me mother (Aglama Anne), Persons (Sahsiyet), The Truth (La Verdad) Halka: in search of the truth, Reunion (Vuslat), Rejan (Hercai), Secrets of the state (Secretos de Estado), The Escape (La Fuga), The Attempt (Los Nuestros), Love and Secrets (Kimse bilmez), Maria Magdalena, Iron Lady, Taxi Driver, Nothing personal, Fi.
- 2019 saw the start of reality show Albanian Designers Competition–ADC, the journey that 10 styling contestants embarked on.
- Kuqezi Family came as a sitcom, produced and realized by Tring in 2019-2020.
- “Treshat” is launched for the first time. A comedy show bringing daily topics through comedy.
- Stand Up Albania came as a collaboration by bringing high school students aged 14 to 18 in a marathon-race with their own scenarios.
2020
- Tring continues to air exclusive Turkish, Latino and Spanish TV shows such as Ruthless City (Zalim Istanbul), Does love come next (Afili Ask), Love until death (Amar a muerte”, Maria Magdalena, Wine and love (Vino el amor).
- “Play” is one of Tring’s latest productions. It’s an entertainment and educational show with children’s games. In this show, children have fun and challenge each-other.
- On 30 March 202, Tring started to air a new channel dedicated to Turkish premiers. Kanal D-Drama. A channel which broadcasts the most famous TV shows 24/7. D-Drama started to broadcast five premiers at the same time: Love and sin (Ask ve gunah), Pride and respect, Time goes by, Wounded love, Love of my life.

Tring now offers several products at the same time and the goal is to make life easier and offer unlimited entertainment thanks to advanced services offered by the terrestrial and satellite platform, My Tring IPTV, the next generation TV and high speed internet services.
Tring TV introduced a new wave on the Albanian screen, by promoting it in a unique and original way, making it more and more attractive for the public.
What makes Tring successful is the content of the programs it offers to its customers.

Tring has created three channels which are entirely dedicated to children and teenagers, who are the most precious viewers of the platform and for whom a lot has been invested each year. Original productions for Tring Tring, Tip TV and Kids, which have a didactic and entertaining character, turned Tring into the entertainment platform for all Albanian children who live overseas.
Tring launched Living channel. It’s a TV channel dedicated entirely to lifestyle. Living mainly targets female viewers, broadcasting everything which has to do with lifestyle.
Channels which are dedicated to TV shows and the latest premiers are also part of Tring. Jolly HD, 3 Plus, Kanal D broadcast many famous productions.
Three channels dedicated to documentaries. Tring History, Tring Planet, Tring World are now everyone’s encyclopaedia by offering information and facts on every domain of life.
Tring TV has created many channels which are dedicated to the world of movies and TV shows (Tring Super HD, Tring Action, Tring Life, Tring Comedy, Tring Fantasy, Tring Shqip) with a wide range of genres and Albanian and foreign productions.
Tring also has music channels, such as Click TV featuring hits from the ‘80s, ‘90s and 2000s. Folk Plus features Albanian music and Albanian folk, by taking our tradition everywhere Albanians live. BBF, Elrodi TV and Tirana TV also feature Albanian hits.
Smile is dedicated to the family. It’s a channel which features sketches and comedy shows such as “Al Pazar” and “Apartamenti 2XL”. Other successful productions such as “3shat” or “Familja Kuqezi” sitcom, which has grasped the largest audience of all times, were also part of this channel.
Five sport HD channels are also part of the diverse Tring bouquet along with a channel dedicated to subscribers and those who want to be part of this large family, by informing them on the programs, services, offers and the latest news

On Demand: Tring’s On Demand service offers a rich library of events in your home, updated with thousands of shows and programs to be watched whenever you want and not at a given time, as it’s the case with TV shows. Movies, TV shows, documentaries, children’s programs, sport and Tring’s exclusive productions in a rich catalogue.
Multiscreen: Through this service, you can watch your favourite program in several screens: TV, PC, iPad and mobile phone. This is the way Tring enables you to watch My Tring IPTV everywhere, at any time, in any device and in the way you want it.
DVR: Your decoder can register different programs or events, enabling you to view them whenever you like. This service allows you to record up to four shows at the same time, so that none of the family members misses his favourite show.
EPG: The electronic guide provides you with updated information over the content of the programs which are on air and the ones to be shown. EPG also provides information on the program such as the content, actors, gender, time when the program will be shown and its duration.
Channel block: This service enables viewers to block unwanted channels. The viewer can include the channels he wishes on the list.
Favourite List: This service enables the creation of a list with favourite channels. This list can be created by the decoder.
Pause Live TV network: This service enables the viewer to pause a program and watch it later at the moment he has paused it. This way, the viewer doesn’t have to watch the show from the start.

Broadcast and Technology
Since its launch, Tring started out with the SD (Standard-definition), Opentech ODS 3000C. In 2012, Tring implemented HDTV (High Definition Television) technology with a KSF-S660HDCO type decoder. In 2014, Tring moved into the MPEG-4 satellite platform, offering its customers maximum quality of sound and picture, which also led to an increase of the number of channels for Tring customers. In 2015, Tring TV launched the My Tring IPTV decoder, which is the cutting-edge technology. A multifunctional decoder offering many interactive functions such as PVR, Timeshift, VOD, Multiscreen, Pause Live TV Network, EPG. This decoder does not need a terrestrial antenna or a satellite dish, because all channels can be accessed through internet and through several devices at the same time.
