Yamar[1] is a SME company located in Israel. Its products are based on its unique power line communication DC-BUS technology that combines data over a single power line. As so, the advanced digital communication algorithms overcome the unpredictable wires communication properties.[2] The semiconductor transceivers products operate over noisy AC and DC power lines such as exist in vehicles.
Yamar was founded in 1994 by Yair Maryanka with the vision to use the ordinary direct current (DC) power line, that were not designed for data transfer, to send also data networks. It reduces wiring cost, weight, size and increase wiring reliability, which is a strategic goal in many industries.
The DC-BUS products [3] are used in automotive, aerospace, industrial, and other applications worldwide. The devices interface directly with data networks using existing protocols such as CAN, LIN/UART.
Recently Yamar's DC-BUS technology was incorporated in ISO 17987-8 LIN over power line physical layer (DC-LIN).
