Earth:Greenerde
GreenErde or Balkan Green Deal BW is a project within the framework of the Danube Strategy of the European Union under the leadership of the University of Hohenheim and the Banat University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine in Timișoara, particularly from the point Education and Research in the context of the digital and ecological transformation of agriculture in the Banat Region and Baden-Württemberg. The project will include funded by the State Ministry of Baden-Württemberg.[1][2]
Project goals
Achievement of a higher awareness and a higher level of competence for current and future challenges for agriculture with a focus on adaptation to and mitigation of climate change, ecological conversion, digital transformation, preservation of soil fertility, water resources and environmental integrity as well as social, economic and cultural aspects Consolidation and further development of technical, information and communication skills in order to enable the use of high technology, platforms and applications in agricultural activities and to promote education and active participation in agricultural knowledge, innovation and information systems (AKIS) Practical demonstration and e-learning-based training
Improved networking with national and international research and education partners in order to ensure further expansion stages of the center as a vocational training center in western Romania
