Earth:Infernito Caldera
From HandWiki
The Infiernito Caldera is a volcanic caldera located north of the Chinati Mountains in West Texas.[1] The caldera is approximately 12 km (7.5 mi) in diameter, and was formed around 37 Ma (i.e. 37 million years ago). It is the oldest caldera of the Chinati Mountain Caldera Complex. The eruption that created it released volcanic ash as tuff that can be found as far as 20 km (12 mi) away, with most of the ejecta falling to the northwest.[2]
