The AWD Tank Transporter was a military truck built in 1988 by Multidrive Vehicles, for use by the British military. The vehicle used the engine of the Bedford J Type trucks, but had a completely unique chassis and cab. Unfortunately, despite being intended for mass-production, however, it was too expensive to built and with uncertainty on whether it was going to be accepted for use by the army, it never entered production, and only one prototype was built, which was then bought by Auto Recovery Services Ltd, which converted it to a truck wrecker.[1][2]
