Deeper Smart Sonar is an advanced, wireless echo-sounder compatible with iOS and Android devices. Designed for anglers, this portable device offers enhanced connectivity through Wi-Fi, allowing a substantial operational range of up to 330 feet (100 meters) between the sonar unit and the user's smartphone or tablet. With capabilities to scan depths up to 260 feet (80 meters) and a high scanning frequency and resolution, the Deeper Smart Sonar provides a detailed and comprehensive view of the underwater environment, aiding in the detection and visualization of both fast-moving and small objects. This innovative tool represents a significant advancement in fishing technology, combining portability with powerful scanning features.
Usage
Deeper sonar can be cast to any spot in the water. While floating on the water surface it connects to a smart device and transmits information which is used for finding fish, getting depth information, exploring bottom contour and vegetation, and temperature.[1]
Operation
Operation of Deeper is based on echolocation and wi-fi technologies. Echolocation is a method for detecting and locating objects submerged in water. When a sound signal is produced, the time it takes for the signal to reach an object and for its echo to return is issued to calculate the distance between the sonar and the object.[2][3] Wi-Fi allows transference of the sonar readings to a smartphone or tablet from up to 330 ft / 100 meters.[4]
