The Jaecoo 7 is a compact crossover SUV produced by Chery since 2023 under the Jaecoo marque. It was introduced during the Auto Shanghai 2023 under two nameplates, the Chery TJ-1 C-DM prototype and the Jaecoo 7 for export markets.[3]

Overview

The Jaecoo 7 or TJ-1 is powered by a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine mated to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. A 1.5-litre turbo plug-in hybrid rated at 115 kW (156 PS; 154 hp) and 220 N⋅m (22.4 kg⋅m; 162 lb⋅ft) paired with a dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT) will be available with a pure electric range of over 100 km (62 mi). All-wheel drive is available.[4][5][6]

In China, the interior will be available in black and white with minimum physical buttons, a rectangular instrument panel, a 14.8-inch touchscreen, a head-up display, and a wireless charging pad. The infotainment screen is powered by a Qualcomm 8155 chip and supports FOTA, facial recognition, and a level 2+ driving assistance system. [7]
