Summary

Description
English: Apterodon langebadreae - semiaquatic hyainailourid hyaenodont of Middle Eocene Libya. Althought superficially resembling the living lutrines (in being semiaquatic) this genus had very different body proportions and anatomy, the most prominent being the massive head (a trait present across the rest of Hyainailouridae). Here reconstructed at the edge of a river bank with couple of mud shrimps. Done by Matej František Čalfa.
