Summary

Description
English: Bond Graph of Mass-Spring-Damper with applied force F and measured velocity v: causality. The I, C and R components have been labeled to show their correspondence with the mass (M), spring (K) and damper components. The SS component represents both the applied force F and the velocity measurement. The SS causality implies effort (force) input and flow (velocity output to the system. The C and I components have integral causality; the R component imposes an effort (force).
