The reason given by the user who added this tag is: My understanding is that this is 3D scan of this wooden model, which would mean that it's a derivative work of it. It sounds like this is from the 1700s and would thus be public domain. However I'm not sure if the original object is copyrightable at all -- seems like that's more in the realm of patents. In any event, I'm almost certain this image is acceptable and free, but the license needs to be clarified. (I'm having trouble finding Commons policy pages relating to this sort of thing—I would really appreciate if whoever resolves this tag could drop me a note about it so I can learn.)
