English: Figure 24 from George Adolf Kubler, "A New History of Stereotyping" (New York: Certified Dry Mat Corporation, 1941). The image reproduces a page from "Der curieusen Kunst- und Werck-Schule" (first edition 1696), attributed to Johann Kunckel von Löwenstern, showing Section 14, "So du die Schrifft abformen willt" (How to mold type), which describes an early paper-based molding process for casting from set type using a "Fladen" (flat cake) as the mold.
