Nach der Landung des Männchens direkt neben dem Weibchen beginnt unmittelbar die Kopulation; diese dauert ca. 3 bis 4 Minuten. Das Männchen hängt dabei (oft ohne Beinkontakt zur Umgebung) fast regungslos am Weibchen. Die Auflösung der Paarung erfolgt unter heftigem Zucken, gelingt aber in der Regel nur dann, wenn beide Partner sich daran beteiligen. |
