Summary

Description
English: The Gaussian finite mixture model used in this study characterized the distribution of specialties across seven distinct profiles. Following the application of principal component analysis (PCA), the clustering structure and geometric characteristics of the latent profile analysis are visualized on a two-dimensional plot. This clustering plot demonstrates good discrimination between profiles, with the exception of diagnostic radiology which, although classified as a Profile-1 specialty, presents close to profile 5. This may be due to the fact that diagnostic radiology shares features from both profiles 1 and 5, and thus presents as a ‘hybrid’ of the two.
