Summary

Description
English: Office equipment such as laser printers and photocopiers are common in workplaces. More recently, desktop 3-dimensional printers are being used in offices, public libraries, University classrooms, and even private homes. All of these devices emit particles and organic chemicals during use, some of which are associated with asthma. NIOSH researchers are evaluating how much of these asthmagenic chemicals are emitted and whether they pose a risk for workers.
