Summary
DescriptionProperels-hungaria.png
English: A plot of proper elements of 1,249,051 asteroids showing semi-major axis (in AU), period (in years), and inclination (in degrees), highlighting Hungaria asteroids. Diameters of each circle are proportional to the diameter of the asteroid.
Most asteroids are shown as thin, hollow circles, while 34304 Hungarias to the top left, with proper semi-major axis between 1.70 and 2.06 au, are shown in yellow and enlarged to be approximately 50 times larger than their true size on the chart for visibility. The albedo of Hungarias, where not provided, is assumed to be 0.5.
For about 130,000 asteroids, the diameter drawn is derived from actual measurements, obtained via stellar occultation, thermal emission, or direct imaging. For all others, the size of the plotted circle represents the assumed diameter based on the mean albedo for each dynamical category.
