Rare Cloud Waves over San Diego. These are known as Kelvin-Helmholz clouds and occur when two air layers move at different speeds. They are also called fluctus clouds. Picture was taken near sunset from San Diego Bay looking out towards North Island and Point Loma. Point Loma is obscured by the clouds and these lasted for about 30 minutes until sunset. This was during a James Taylor concert.
