English: US energy consumption by year and source. U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA). Data is from:

Data from 1775-2011: "Energy Perspectives 1949–2011" excel file https://www.eia.gov/totalenergy/data/annual/perspectives.php

Combined with data from 1949-2020, two tables were needed in order to get seperate data for wood and other renewables:

March 2021 Monthly Energy Review: "Table 10.1 Renewable Energy Production and Consumption by Source" and "Table 1.3 Primary Energy Consumption by Source"
