BigBuy is a wholesale e-commerce platform specialized in dropshipping. [1] It was founded in 2012 in Valencia (Spain).[2]

Development

The platform provides technology, logistics and operations services to online stores, brands and marketplaces. Its catalog is published in 24 languages with 300,000 product references, and 5,305 brands (2022). The warehouses, with a surface area of 30,000 m2, are located in Moncada. With a turnover of 110 million euros (2022), the company exports 95%, mainly to European countries. The firm employs 350 people, and in 2021 implemented a 4-day work week.[3] The firm has not needed to invest capital or request capital increases, as it has reinvested all profits; in 12 years since its founding, it has had no returns.[4]

In 2010, Salvador Esteve and Victor P. Amarnani, the founders of BigBuy, who previously had an online gift store, started selling on Groupon and after several disagreements, abandoned it.[5] They later evolved to dropshipping service and adopted the name BigBuy in 2012.[6] After using Magento, they moved to customized technological development. In 2018, the company created the Multi-Channel Integration Platform tool, to synchronize with marketplaces and manage sales from a single tool.[7]

Services

To the retail trade: through the creation of an e-commerce store and dropshipping distribution, BigBuy manages the retailer's inventory and stock by shipping products directly to the end customer, through a synchronization of orders and inventories.[8]

Wholesale is intended for retailers and small businesses that sell on ecommerce, marketplaces, social networks or point catalog platforms. They have a network of thousands of customers across Europe who sell to the final consumer.[8]

Full assistance to brands facing difficulties in selling multichannel, multi-country and multi-language; they use their own technology and logistics to make the sale happen and get the order to the final customer.[9]
