Organization:Ghiyasia Madrasa

Ghiyasia Madrasa refers to two madrasas of Mecca and Medina founded in 14th/15th century. These were also called Bangali Madrasa.[1]
Foundation
Sultan of Bengal Ghiyasuddin Azam Shah (reign:1389-1410) was the founder of these two institutes. One of them was at Bab-i-Ummehani of Mecca. Arrangement for students of hanafi, shafi, maliki and hanbali, four famous school of fiqh were made here. Contemporary scholar Taqiuddin Fasi was a teacher of Ghiyasia in Mecca. Ghiyasia of Medina was at Husn al-Atiq near Al-Masjid an-Nabawi. Sultan also commissioned money to buy property for establishing and to maintain these institutes.[1]
