Karmendriya (Sanskrit: कर्मेन्द्रिय) is an Indian philosophical concept. According to Hinduism and Jainism, the sense of action is the "organ of action".[1] The five functional organs, and these are: the mouth, the hands, the legs, the genital and the anus.[1][2][3] In Jainism, it is the sense organ used by the empirical soul to perform actions.[1]
According to Indian philosophy, speaking, grasping, moving, ejaculating and sexual activity is the ability of the soul to respond to and interact with the external world.[1]
