Social:Kavala Urban KTEL

Kavala Urban KTEL is a legal person of private law that performs the urban transport project of the city of Kavala, Greece.

It was established in 2001 by a decision of the General Assembly of the shareholders of the legal entity under private law. The purpose of the company is to carry out a transport project and operates under concession contracts co-signed between State and KTEL Kavalas.

The ρισκl of the Kavala Civic Cabinet is divided into 400,000 shares, of which 250,000 shares are defined as share capital distributed to about 72 private motorists and spread over 25 city buses. The 150,000 remaining shares belong to the Kavalas Civil Aviation Company itself, and are distributed in 15 spare urban buses.

The management of the Kavalas Civil Registry SA is exercised by a board of directors consisting of five members elected by the General Meeting of Shareholders for four years in accordance with the provision of paragraph 1 of Article 25 of Law 3710/2008.

The company in its present form employs about 65 employees, eight of whom are permanent employees of a collective agreement; the others are motor vehicle owners.

Each year, the Urban Cabin carries approximately 3,000,000 passengers.

Since 2005 a special program for the free transportation of disabled persons has been implemented. and disabled people, while approximately 550 travels per year are carried out. from wheelchairs and special bikes to special bikes. For their transportation, the Urban Kavalas SA has been equipped with a total of eight vehicles, namely six small ramps and two large ramps and special wheelchair tethers. As part of the benefits of the other passengers, Kavala Civil Registry has adapted and maintains a special telematics stop system with an alarm system for people with disabilities. At the same time, 11 vending ticket vendors issue tickets for better service to citizens.

Of the 40 city buses available to the company, 28 are 12 meters Mercedes O405 and MAN A21, 4 vehicles are 10.5 meters Neoplan brand, and the other eight are mini-bus, of which two vehicles are 8 Man A20, while the remaining six vehicles are 6.5 meters of the Mercedes Sprinter XCity brand. Of the above vehicles, the 25 out of 12 meters are from the share capital and all the rest of the Urban Cabel.
