Software:Ascent-The Space Game

From HandWiki

Ascent - The Space Game is an MMO which was released to the public sometime in mid-2013. On February 27, the game was released publicly on Steam.[1] The game has always had a free Unity web client on the website, but the developer, Jam, has said several times how much he wants to remove this feature soon due to it being extremely unstable and buggy. The client can be bought on Steam or Desura for $19.99, for the downloaded client, which is more stable and usable than the web client.

Ascent is a game about recolonization after humanity has almost gone extinct. There are nine starter systems which were manually created by the developer himself, but the rest of the 270 billion star systems are procedurally generated. Players can take part in huge community projects, such as building permanent jumpgates which connect two systems. The player can build colonies, set up small deeds, one on eight of the starter systems, salvage wrecks for blueprint fragments, build a starbase either in the Apollo system or in deep space, and there are very few limits, some may even argue that there are no limits at all.

Premium however, is required to get deeper into this game. There are three premiums, each which cost $1 monthly. There is industry premium, planet premium, and combat premium. Industry premium allows you to use salvage and mining beams above class 5, as well as add more than one ring to your Apollo Starbase. Combat premium allows you to use weapons, shields, or armor panels above class 5. Planet premium lets you settle all of the inner eight system's planets, besides for the one other system which can not be settled on. All of the premiums give you 300 stellar credits monthly combined, or 100 SC monthly per each premium.. Colonies cost 80 SC each monthly, and outer starbases cost 40 SC monthly. However, if you link your starbase to a colony, then there is no additional cost.
