Cake is a video-based English and Korean language learning software. It is available on both PC and Mobile application.
The software provides users with real video clips that demonstrate native expressions in their natural context, aiding in effective learning.
New expressions are updated regularly. While some features of Cake are free, there is also a premium subscription option called Cake Plus, which offers unlimited access to all features and removes advertisements.
Cake currently supports 21 different languages, and has over 100 million downloads worldwide.
History
A language learning app released by Snow, a subsidiary of Naver.
It is currently being operated as a spin-off company named Cake Corporation.
- In March 2018, Cake English was launched.
- In March 2022, HYBE EDU was acquired.[3][4][5]
- In September 2022, Cake Korean was launched.
Features
Users can select their language settings and the language they want to learn. Once the languages are set, users can choose specific expressions they wish to learn from various videos.
