FISCO BCOS[1] is based on BCOS[2] and Ethereum with features customized for financial industry satisfying regulatory requirements. On Dec 2017, it is published as an open source blockchain platform. On 2018, FISCO BCOS was brought into practical use as application for Reconciliation and Digital Escrow[3][4] area.
FISCO BCOS's core functionalities[5]:
- Advanced Mesenger On-chain Protocol (AMOP)
- Real time inter-messaging between institutions over blockchain network
- Enable integration between blockchain network and off chain systems such as risk management system
- Smart Contract Naming Service
- Consensus algorithm - Parallel PBFT and RAFT
- Blockchain browser to access data resided in the blockchain network
- Access control - data are only visible to those who are entitled through user role
