Software:Gacha (game franchise)
Gacha refers to a series of apps created by Lunime. These games consist of many minigames; prominently featuring elements of dress-up, narration, chibi, and shōjo manga.
History
First Years
In the 2010s, online gacha games gained a strong userbase in East Asia. Later in the decade, in 2015, a game developer company, Lunime released a app, aimed at the young adult market, called Anime Arcade. Another app based on the game, called Anime Gacha was made. Due to the app being successful, later games were created. From 2015 to 2017, Lunime produced more gacha games; including Gacha World and Neko Gacha. All of these games had the same RPG-game basis, style and plot, only differing in characters. While these games were only relatively successful, they were the springboard to the success of Lunime’s other games. These games later became a franchise of games, which were known as Gacha.
