Hoppscotch is an open source API development and testing software, allowing building, testing, sharing of APIs. The Hoppscotch client is available for different operating systems. Hoppscotch has the aspiration to be an open source alternative for API testing software like Postman[1] or Insomnia. Therefore, Hoppscotch is able to function without additional tools like VPNs or port forwarding, even behind firewalls or NATs. Hoppscotch used to be based on the progressive web app technologies, but in 2022 plans started to replace it with Rust.
