History

Passbolt first version was released in April 2016.[6] In October 2016, Passbolt was selected among 200 startups to be part of the Luxembourgish national acceleration program Fit4Start.[7] Passbolt development is managed by Passbolt Societe Anonyme, a company incorporated in Luxembourg in November 2016.[8] In December 2018, Passbolt closed a round of funding led by ‘Digital Tech Fund’, Luxembourg national fund for innovation.[9]

Source code

The source code for the browser extensions, the Windows desktop application as well as iOS & Android mobile applications are available under the GNU Affero General Public License on GitHub.[10]
