Version History

Development

SimulIDE is written in C++ with Qt Framework. Its initial release was version 0.0.1 in 2015 published at Sourceforge. Since 2017, it has its own official website[2] and since 2020 it was moved to Launchpad[3]. It is licensed under GNU GPL 3 or later. It is openly developed on the internet by the community of contributors and volunteers with the fund raised from donations[4].

Community

Like many other free software, SimulIDE users can be found in the internet and publicly share modified source code as well as works created using the software. For example, SimulIDE Forum has a thread named Projects Made in Simulide allowing users to upload and download electronic designs and simulations.
