Write-only documentation

From HandWiki

Write-only documentation (WOD) is a tongue-in-cheek term for documentation that is written to satisfy a process but never read subsequent to its writing.

Jutta Eckstein (de) wrote how to spot write-only documentation: "it looks very accurate, stays on the shelf, and has no coffee stains on any page. This is a clear sign that nobody relaay trusts it." She proceeds to explain the reasons why it exists. [1]
