The Manzano Mountain cottontail (Sylvilagus cognatus) is a species of cottontail rabbit endemic to the Manzano Mountains in New Mexico, United States.[1]
Habitat
It occurs in coniferous forests in high elevation.
Taxonomy
It was previously thought to be a subspecies of the eastern cottontail (S. floridanus).
