HandWiki:Copyrights
For material posted to HandWiki
HandWiki does not own copyright on articles or illustrations submitted to HandWiki. The encyclopedia-style articles (but not manuals, books, monographs, lectures and tutorials) posted on HandWiki should comply with the Wikipedia policy. Articles that are based on the text from the Wikipedia articles should be released under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share-Alike License 3.0. Articles that are directly imported from Wikipedia must contain a notice that they are imported from Wikipedia or similar resources.
In the case of manuals, books, monographs, lectures and tutorials, the authors should explicitly state the license terms. For example, to protect such material from modifications by others, one can specify a restrictive license on the same page where the title is. Such license agreements can contain restrictions on use and disclosure, and are protected by intellectual property laws. If the license statement does not exist, all non-encyclopedic articles (i.e. manuals, books, monographs and tutorials) posted on the HandWiki are provided under the default Creative Commons Attribution-Share-Alike License 3.0.
