Designed by Al Melling, the Melling V8 is derived from the AJP V8 used in the TVR Tuscan challenge and the TVR Cerbera.

The engine comes in two variants; the road version - wet sump and the race version - dry sump. To ensure the best packaging of the engine it has been designed with a 72 degree V.

Road variant

Maximum power - 418 bhp (312 kW; 424 PS) @ 7200rpm
Maximum torque - 390 lb⋅ft (530 N⋅m) @5200rpm
Engine weight - 123 kg (271 lb) (including alternator)
